Typesetting

The academy has a very extensive, fully equipped lead typesetting facility.

The workshop has an extensive collection of old lead and wood letters. There are two good printing presses, which students can use to print and experiment with different kinds of ink and paper.

They can also use the old wooden and lead type to print, as well as other materials.

Using the computer, students can mill type or shapes out of wood or use polymer clichés.

In essence, anything is printable, as long as it is two-dimensional, made from a sturdy material and able to be placed at the same ‘height to paper’.

A run of 100 copies is perfectly doable.
